Here is my website.
My life has taken me a lot of interesting places. Although I lived in Iowa for most of my life, I moved to Alaska to go to grad school. I've driven the Alcan highway through Canada, through the Rockies in the middle of the night, and once, on a whim, to Florida, to the beach, so my sister and I could see the ocean for the first time.
I value experience and practical skills. I like to learn new things. I learned to take photographs by developing my own film. I learned to sew by taking a needle and thread and trying. I learned all of the gravel roads in my county by driving them. I want to keep my sense of adventure and my desire for practical skills throughout my life.
I learned a lot about myself and my goals while I lived in Alaska. I lived in a cabin in the woods with no running water and unreliable electricity. When your hobby is staying alive, your priorities are thrown into sharp relief. I know what I want, and I know about my goals. I know where I've been, and I hope I know where I'm going.
But for now, here's the place where I'll showcase my writing, my art, my projects, and hopefully soon, a podcast. Thanks for visiting.
See you around.
